Craft show was a blast!

I had almost forgotten how much fun it is to do a craft show! It was a perfect, glorious, sun-shiney day - couldn't have asked for better weather to sit outside and do what I love.  :)

The show was part of an all-day music festival at a winery on top of a hill. This was the view out the back of my tent!

All set up and ready for action!

I tied my clearance scarves to the tent - they looked so pretty fluttering in the breeze! Also, they were more touchable, which I'm sure contributed to their brisk sales.

Here is my pile o' face scrubbies - don't you just want to squeeze them? So cute.

I had some assorted magnets and a dish of cell phone charms in the middle of the table, between the scrubbies AND...

Turns out my theory was correct - when people see a big pile of something, they feel compelled to look through it! It was so fun watching people find the perfect bracelets, for themselves or as gifts. I will definitely be trying this approach again!

It really was a perfect day. I can't wait to do it again!

Have a great day, and don't forget to smile.  :)

Good morning!

I'm up bright and early this morning, because I'm getting ready to go to the Stewartstown Music and Arts Festival today. It's the first show I've been able to be a part of in almost a year, due to my crazy retail work schedule. I am excited, and ready for action!

I'm trying a new technique this time. I made 159 stretchy bracelets, all different, and 70 face scrubbies. I'm going to just dump them into two piles on my table for people to dig through. Hopefully, people will feel compelled to search for hidden treasures! Also made a handful of cell phone charms (well, 26 to be exact), and 84 magnets.

I'll be sure to upload some pictures when I get home. Wish me luck!

Have a great day, and don't forget to smile!

NEW ITEM! Reusable face scrubbies, with FREE SHIPPING!

Hi there! I finally got around to listing some new items on Etsy and Bonanzle - sets of three re-usable face scrubbies that gently exfoliate without irritating sensitive skin. They are perfect for removing that pesky eye makeup - no more dark smudges on your towels! The scrubbies are made of 100% USA grown cotton, and are machine washable and dryable. They are made to order in a pet-free, smoke-free home, and measure approx. 3 inches across. Here are links to the "hooked" category in both shops:
Wow that was a long one! ;)
Be sure to check back for more colors, coming soon.
Don't forget to smile, and have a great day!

An interesting realization...

So I realized something yesterday... I am a huge fan of country music. However, I don't care much for Kenny Chesney. Never have, thought I never would. Don't know why, particularly - except that all his songs seem the same to me. Every time one of his songs comes on the radio in my car, I change the channel and if I hop back over and he's still singing, I think to myself "gee, isn't that song over yet??" I'm also not crazy about Dave Matthews' stuff for the past handful of years. "Crash" was a classic, of course, but nothing since then has really grabbed me. However, TOGETHER - they are brilliant! Love their song "I'm Alive" so much, I was forced to SongID it with my Verizon Wireless phone, and immediately purchase it over the air. Every time I hear THAT song, at the end I think to myself "gee, is that song over already??" Now I can listen to it whenever I want! :) It's nice to hear Kenny sing about something other than drinking and partying and such. Not that I have a problem with either of those activities, in moderation of course. ;) Don't forget to smile, and have a great day! ~ miss chris
